How To Make Pay Per
Click
Programs Pay Off Big
By Big Willy
Profitability with Pay-Per-Click Programs comes down to how well you have chosen your keywords and how well you write your ads. That is the conventional wisdom. But knowing that is not enough.
You must first choose a pay per click program that has a relatively high payout. Personally, I look for payouts of $50 or more per product before I will even consider joining a pay per click program.
Unless you're a super pro at pay per click, and most of us are not, you just can't be profitable in the PPC game today earning anything less than $25 per item sold.
(This does not go for Adsense campaigns and lead generation campaigns. That's another animal all together.)
So that eliminates a lot of pay per click programs. You cannot sell fishing poles and make $5 on a sale and expect to be profitable when you're paying money to drive traffic to your web site.
You can find thousands of pay per click programs with $25 or more pay outs for each product sold at www.ClickBank.com
Another thing: If you only use the Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool, http://inventory.overture.com to find your keywords, you are putting yourself at a big disadvantage. Because most people use the Overture tool.
You need to use a good keyword software tool like Super Keyword Elite Software. You need to use tools that separate you from the herd!
Only when you can find keywords specific to your market will the cost per click become more reasonable, which means your return on investment for pay per click advertising becomes much greater.
So how can you find those "magic" keywords that will make your business profitable?
First, you must invest in the most important tool you will ever buy, the
tool that serious marketers use:
The Power Elite Keyword Tool.
Next, search your competitors' keywords. Again, this can be accomplished best with the Power Keyword Tool recommended above.
Also, spend some time searching your competitors' landing pages using Google, Yahoo, and MSN Search. See what your competition is doing exactly. Maybe you can use some of their ideas!
Additionally, you need to test your campaign for a few days. Then analyze the results. Delete the keywords from your pay per click campaign that aren't converting well. Tweak your campaign. Small improvements lead to profitability in the long run.
You should narrow your keywords down to a point where you are risking only .05 -.80 per click rather than $2.00 per click.
Also, be sure to use Google's Split Testing Ads option. Write two ads, one slightly different from the other, and improve your campaign slowly with this method.
Over time you will become profitable. Do not expect to be profitable your first time out. It takes time and constant adjustments to get into the profitability zone.
Weeks after promoting your first pay per click program, you will often start to see a significant bump in traffic as the result of being in the top 3 of PPC ads listed in Google.
Finally, if you don't have unlimited funds for marketing, stay away from following the herd - try and focus on less popular niche keywords. That's how you can make Pay Per Click programs Pay You!
If you're determined to win by using a pay per click program, by far my best advice is, again, get the Power Elite Keyword Tool.
